(2015)The first year I had goats I was very unsuccessful at taking my two does to get bred (no babies).  We decided to get a  Kastdemur's Voss son.  Honey was from a litter of 5.  He was so soft - the softest goat fur I have every felt.  He has been the calmest, friendliest, little guy from day one.  Sometimes I would look at him lounging in the sun and think, “He is so laid back, is he going to have enough energy to do his job come breeding season?”  I started training Honey to walk on a leash and do some simple tricks.  Honey can walk well, puts his front feet up on something when told, and will jump on to objects when told.  Honey is calm when I give Him baths too.  Honey is growing quite fast; we are surprised how big he is already and know he is nowhere close to being done.  Breeding season came and he really woke up.  He is still sweet and obedient, but now also attentive and very much a buck.  He did a very good job and has bred all my does.  Unlike my white does that are really a cream color, Honey is absolutely pure white.  He is such a nice guy and is becoming so beautiful.  I love my little growing buck.  Honey likes back scratches, treats, training times, and escorting me around as I work in their pen.  He is careful around kids and other animals.  Honey is a great guy with good lines and conformation.

(June, 2016) No longer a buckling anymore Honey is the biggest goat out in the pens.  And he should be!  He sired 7 beautiful kids that were born in 2015 and 5 more this year.  I have seen three of his daughters freshen and am very happy with the increased milk production and widening of teats and udder.  Honey is still a great guy and plays with his kids.  It is so sweet to watch this big buck, wagging his tail with delight, playing so softly with these tiny little kids.  I love his cool beard.  I tell others how soft and silky it is (all without conditioner!) but they don't want to see for themselves.  Their loss.  Yep, I still love my buck.
